Annina Rüst

I am an artist working with technology, specifically electronics and software-based media. I write computer programs, create electronic circuits, and work with images and sound. I implement all technical aspects of my artworks myself with minimal to no outside assistance. I also write papers for academic publications. I take a critical approach to the making of technology and technologies themselves. I contextualize my work within art history, gender studies, and science and technology studies. My notable recognitions include an Art+Technology Lab grant from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and a Siggraph Art Papers Best Paper Award.
